Early Life and Introduction to Acting
Shari was immersed in the world of theater while growing up in Phenix City. Her mother’s involvement in acting gave her opportunities to participate in performances. Breakthrough Role in “Any Day Now”
At the age of 12, Shari played young Rene Jackson in the television drama “Any Day Now.” The show aired from 1998 through 2002 and addressed issues including racism, friendship, and societal change. Shari played young Rene well and to critical acclaim. This role marked an important milestone in her acting career, demonstrating her ability to deal with challenging subject matter with maturity and grace.
Further Education and Theatrical Pursuits
After a stint on “Any Day Now,” Shari decided to return to school. She returned to Alabama and pursued a degree in theater at the University of Alabama, Birmingham.
