Blocks away from the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, police shot and killed a man wielding a knife Tuesday afternoon. It the first potentially security-related incident to occur since the Convention began Monday.

According to witnesses, two men were fighting in the park when one man pulled out a knife. Several law enforcement officers responded to the scene, and the man with the knife was shot and killed.

The police responsible for the shooting were from the Columbus Division of Police in Columbus, Ohio. They were not local Milwaukee police officers.
